The Georgetown County section of Murrells Inlet, SC is located just north of Pawleys Island and Litchfield. It is easily accessible by either Highway 17/Ocean Highway or Highway 17 Business, the latter of which is lined with numerous seafood restaurants along the scenic “Marsh Walk.” Murrells Inlet has been a fishing village for numerous years, and is known by many as the “Seafood Capital of South Carolina.” This section of Murrells Inlet is also home to beautiful Brookgreen Gardens, the Huntington Beach State Park, and the Atalaya Castle. Residents of the Georgetown County section of Murrells Inlet would be in the Waccamaw schools district, and often times have lower taxes than in the neighboring Horry County section of Murrells Inlet.
