Surfside Beach

Surfside Beach is the town located just South of Myrtle Beach along Highway Business 17. Surfside Beach, also known as the “Family Beach”, is yearly destination for many families. The beaches of Surfside are some of the nicest along the East Coast. The town prides itself on trying to maintain a clean safe environment for its citizens and people that visit. Recently the town had enacting a policy against smoking in public. That’s right; you are currently not allowed to smoke in bars, sidewalks or even the beach in the city limits of Surfside. The center of the town of Surfside is Surfside Drive which takes you from Highway 17 Business to the Surfside Pier. This is the location for many seasonal festivities and parades each year. Near by is “Wild Water and Wheels”, “Legends in Concert” and many golf courses. Surfside Beach is within two miles of the Myrtle Beach State Park, and there are many campgrounds close by. Visit this area and you will very quickly realize why many people want to call this Surfside Beach home. Most of the families share a 4 or more bedroom raised style beach house that they lease from one of the many local rental agencies. The rental properties that generate the most revenues for the owner of the properties are oceanfront and second row properties. Although, beachfront living is nice, it many times requires more money and more upkeep than is acceptable to many.
